NEWS - PEOPLE IN THE NEWS Mark Cutifani Anglo American has appointed current AngloGold Ashanti CEO Mark Cutifani its new CEO. AngloGold Chairman Tito Mboweni said the group has initiated a formal search for a replacement but, in the interim, after Cutifani departs, the group has asked current CFO Srinivasan Venkatakrishnan and Executive Vice President Business & Technical Development Tony O'Neill to act as joint interim chief executives. Guyana Frontier Mining Corp. has appointed Evangelos (Gelly) Gnissios president and CEO. Warren Stanyer has been terminated as CEO and has resigned from the board of directors. The company also announced that Stephen Wallace has resigned vice president of exploration. Bumi plc recently announced that Nathaniel Rothschild will step down as CEO and will serve as a non-independent, non-executive director. He will be succeeded by Nick von Schirnding.
