The standard deck frame of the screen is preconfigured to handle both modular and tension screening media with minimal interruption and can be easily converted to handle the media of choice. www.metso.com Pipe Fitting System Offers Easy Installation Victaulic's new AGS Full Flow Fittings with Vic-Rings—a line of grooved carbon steel pipe fittings for abrasive applications in the mining industry—are designed for use with the company's AGS (Advanced Groove System) Vic-Ring System, which simplifies installation and extends service life of large-diameter abrasive service piping systems. The fittings feature integral Victaulic AGS Vic-Rings, eliminating additional fabrication requirements and pipe preparation time. The Vic-Rings maintain a smooth bore through the fitting with no reduction in wall thickness at the joints, making the fittings ideal for applications such as tailings and slurry lines. The fittings are available in sizes ranging from 12 to 48 in. (300 to 1,200 mm) and are offered in a variety of straight and reducing styles, including elbows, tees, caps, concentric and eccentric reducers, and adapter nipples. They can be supplied in standard weight or extra heavy construction, and are available for unlined pipe or with abrasionor corrosion-resistant rubber lining. The AGS Vic-Ring System is rated for pressures of up to 350 psi (2,400 kPa). www.victaulic.com detection of rim cracks, bead leaks, punctures, or any other signs of air loss in offroad tire applications. Safety regulations require all cracked rims to be removed and serviced or discarded. These hazards, according to the supplier, can easily be identified with the use of a specially developed UV light. Developed specifically with low visibility environments in mind, such as underground mining and night time driving conditions, Sentry works equally as well in daytime or above ground environments. According to the vendor, Sentry also keeps the bead area pliable and the inner liner supple, prevents rim corrosion, is more stable at higher and lower temperatures than other leading tire conditioners, and has greater lubricity, allowing for easier mounting and dismounting of tires. www.simonizsealtite.com Extreme-duty Rubber Scalping Screen Media Armadex bolt-down rubber screen sections from Polydeck represents a new topdeck extreme-duty scalping solution, according to the company. This custom rubberscreening product uses Binary Injection Molding (BIM) technology, a proprietary Polydeck manufacturing method that produces more than 10 times the pressure normally used to produce compressionmolded rubber. This process along with its premium blend of natural gum rubbers and highstrength low-alloy steel plate backing produces a product of unprecedented strength and uniformity in its structure and composition from top to bottom and side to side. This, according to the company, provides a longer wearing screen section with the lowest dollars-per-ton investment. Wheel Rim Conditioner Improves Crack Detection Pneumacore Inc. says it has developed the world's first fluorescing rim conditioner. Sentry, an enhanced version of Simoniz's Sealtite Life X-tend tire conditioner, has fluorescing properties to enhance the 84 E&MJ; • JULY 2013 www.e-mj.com
