No tool is left behind. www.protoindustrial.com Elevator Pulleys for Mine Applications ly friendly, comprised of a polychloroprene rubber in a solvent base that is free of chlorinated hydrocarbons. www.flexco.com Tool Control and Safety System PROTO describes its Skyhook Tether and Transfer system as "the next generation of safety technology" for positive control of hand tools at height, in work areas requiring foreign material exclusion (FME) or anywhere simple accidents become costly mistakes. SkyHook, according to the company, provides secure tool transfers, a free range of motion and positive tool control. The system comprises switches, docks, lanyards and carabiners, all designed to make tool control as complete as possible with little interference to tool function. Whether hand-to-hand, person-to-person or person-to-station, the mechanism inside the innovative SkyHook keeps the tool completely secure throughout a transfer. The system's short lanyard is light, tight and less likely to get caught on nearby equipment or snags than traditional lanyards. A tool attached to a SkyDock is either attached to a hand, a belt, a tool apron, a co-worker, a work truck or a central station. At all points, tools attached to Baldor Electric now offers a complete line of Dodge elevator pulleys, available in drum or single disc design with HE, XT, QD or TaperLock hubs and bushings. Heavy-duty elevator pulleys meet CEMA standards, but these pulleys are also available with Mine Duty Extra construction that features the Dodge integral hub design for ultimate strength and durability. The elevator pulleys are available in diameters from 6–72 in. (152– 1,828 mm), with face widths up to 120 in. (3,048 mm). Four lagging options are available: Holz SLIDE -LAG, with double chevron grooves capable of bidirectional pulley rotation, available in standard SBR rubber or optional SOF static conductive, oil and fire resistant rubber; Dodge FOS Vulcanized Lag is an exclusive offering that is flame and oil resistant and available with a variety of grooving options; SBR Vulcanized Lag is a styrene-butadiene rubber offering good abrasion resistance and available in a wide range of thicknesses and grooving options; and Dodge D-LAG Vulcanized Lag, an exclusive natural rubber compound that offers excellent resistance to abrasions, cuts and gouges for an extended life. Baldor's Dodge elevator pulleys are also available in custom sizes and configurations. www.baldor.com packages (28° and 45°) accommodate applications including shovels, drills, cranes, off-road haulers, utility and emergency vehicles, and lighting towers.
