Because they provide wetting of combustible dusts, Handte Vortex scrubbers can eliminate the need for costly ancillary explosion protection devices. There are no filters to replace, reducing overall maintenance requirements. The units install quickly and are easy to operate. Two basic models are available: the Vortex Dual has an integrated fan/ventilator within the unit, which intensifies the separation of dust par- ticles. It combines a robust but low-profile design with maximum versatility to handle a wide variety of applications. The Vortex (standard) has a top-mount fan and uses separation principles that are especially effective in dealing with sticky materials. Handte Vortex scrubbers operate at low internal pressure drop compared to venturi- type wet collectors. Two horsepower ratings are available for standard and high-static pressure applications. www.camfilapc.com/wetscrubbers Brush-on Compound Protects Metal Under Harsh Conditions Lubricant manufacturer Bel-Ray's new Nickel Anti-Seize Compound is specially for- mulated for use in a wide range of heavy industrial applications and is claimed to pro- vide unmatched protection for metal equip- ment components, fittings and hardware, even under prolonged exposure to aggressive chemicals and temperatures up to 1,315°C (2,400°F). The Nickel Anti-Seize Compound is an aluminum complex grease that features high-content nickel and graphite powders. The compound is free of copper or soft reac- tive metals. Needing only brush-on applica- tion, the Nickel Anti-Seize coats metal threads and components to prevent damage caused by galling, fretting and seizing. It also provides smoother, easier assembly and disassembly of metal fasteners and fittings during equipment maintenance and repair. When applied, the compound lowers the coefficient of friction between threads and the turning torque required by as much as 15%, according to the company. www.belray.com Battery-driven Grease Gun Makes Maintenance Easier SKF's new battery-driven grease gun, the TLGB 20, includes an integrated grease meter to help prevent over- and under- lubrication. Suitable for a variety of manu- al lubrication tasks, the SKF TLGB 20 fea- tures a durable, ergonomic design with a three-point stand for operator comfort and convenience and a 20-volt, lithium-ion battery. The tool's display indicates battery charge level, amount of grease dispensed, pump/motor speed and blocked lubrication points. Dispensing up to 15 grease car- tridges per battery charge, the grease gun provides two flow rates, enabling applica- tion-specific adjustments. In addition, it can deliver pressures up to 700 bar (10,000 psi) and features a built-in light to illuminate the work area. The grease gun is supplied in a carrying case with a 900-mm (36-in.) high-pressure hose, rechargeable 20-volt battery and 90-minute charger. www.skf.com Air Dryer Solves Water Issues in Fluid Storage Water in fluid tanks can cause major prob- lems—corrosion, pump cavitation, viscosity changes, additive dropout, oxidation and other issues.
