MARCH 2016 • E&MJ; 75 www.e-mj.com E Q U I P M E N T G A L L E R Y The SmartROC D60 can perform toe- hole, dewatering hole and horizontal drilling and, because the feed can be posi- tioned horizontally, feed maintenance is also easier. At worksites where bench sta- bility is a concern, the SmartROC D60 can be used with Atlas Copco's BenchREMOTE operator station that allows remote rig operation at a distance of up to 100 m. www.atlascopco.com Cement Resurfacer Kit Solves Repair Problems Sherwin-Williams Protective and Marine Coatings has launched Dura-Plate 2300, an epoxy-modified cementitious resurfacer for patching and filling voids and bugholes in concrete and masonry structures. Dura- Plate 2300 is claimed to provide a hard, durable surface with excellent adhesion that minimizes the potential for pin-holing and outgassing problems typically associ- ated with coating concrete. The abrasion- resistant coating is part of a complete three-component kit that contains Portland cement, hydrophobic thixotropes, fiber reinforcement, graded silica sand and other aggregates. It contains the Part A epoxy, Part B hardener, and Part C mortar in a single packaged solution. During appli- cation, it can be reagitated to reduce vis- cosity and improve workability time inside of its 70-minute pot life. Dura-Plate 2300 can be dry to touch in three to four hours and cures for immersion in 12 hours at 75°F. The product can be applied at a minimum of 40°F. Without the need for heated curing in colder tempera- tures and moist curing in hot environ- ments, Dura-Plate 2300 eliminates the application and curing restrictions associ- ated with cementitious repair mortars. Available in flat concrete gray, Dura-Plate 2300 can be applied via hand trowel or spray at package consistency and it releas- es easily from the trowel to reduce worker fatigue. The addition of potable water can aid in spray application characteristics. www.protective.sherwin-williams.com Vehicle-mount LED Light Combo is Rugged and Bright Finland-based Nordic Lights said its new Nordic Sculptor LED N60XX is the world's first all LED, ECE-approved combination vehicle headlight in ongoing production. Developed for demanding working environ- ments such as mining and construction, the unit provides head light, park light and 180° indicator functions in one package. With external dimensions of 233 x 161 x 134 mm, the light is extremely compact, and with the supplier's proven Quake dampening system integrated into the design, it offers superior durability. The light withstands shocks of 60G and vibra- tion of 15.3 Grms at 24–2,000 Hz. The Sculptor LED N60XX requires input voltage of 12–24V, and provides low power consumption (22 W) while producing a light output of 1,300 lumens at the source and more than 600 lumens on the road. Its 5,700 K color temperature makes it easier to detect obstacles in the dark, while over- all illumination is brighter than with halo- gen lights. Cooling is handled by thermal transfer through the alloy housing to the cooling surfaces at the back. Operational temperature range is from -40°C to +85°C. The lamp—which is sealed and withstands dust, water and salt spray—complies with the EMC requirements of R10, ISO 7637- 2, ISO 14982, ISO 13766, EN12895 and CISPR 25 Class 3.
