COMPANY PROFILE-PAID ADVERTISEMENT Superior Industries Established in 1972, Superior Industries has a reputation of engi- neering and manufacturing groundbreaking, bulk material han- dling conveyor systems and cutting-edge conveyor components. From its headquarters in Morris, Minnesota, the manufacturer serves the industry with stackers, truck unloaders, transfer con- veyors and stationary systems plus idlers, pulleys and conveyor related accessories to lower operating costs and increase produc- tion rates. The company also manufactures from two additional plants in Arizona and Georgia, USA. Stockpiling Solutions From highly mobile to fixed and stationary, Superior builds a col- lection of conveyors for stockpiling bulk material. Best known for their telescopic radial stacker, the company's TeleStacker® Conveyor is the world's leader in radial stacking technology. Today, the unit is available in models that pile up to 5,000 tons of bulk material per hour. Portable Truck Unloaders Coal producers equipped with a RazerTail® Truck Unloader means their crews can unload and stockpile material from belly and end dump trucks in minutes—all without the use of a gas hungry loader. Simply pull the portable unit into your operation, construct earthen ramps for access and truck traffic can begin discharging their cargo within hours of the RazerTail truck unloaders arrival. Transfer Conveyors While they continue to manufacture traditional transfer conveyors like jumps and stackables, Superior recently introduced a new spin to the market. Designed for a small crew to transition the unit from transport to material handling positions, the Trailblazer® Conveyor is a 500-foot transfer conveyor that quickly unfolds and folds into a towable, portable package. Terminal Conveyors As ships, barges and trains increase their roles in product delivery, Superior has expanded some of its product lines to better serve these markets. Transferring material at rates up to 5,000 tons per hour, the company engineers and manufactures a growing collec- tion of equipment to load and unload at marine and rail terminals around the world. Idlers After years of research and development, Superior now manufac- tures the broadest range of conveyor idlers on the planet. Assembled with the company's patented SpinGuard® Seal Technology, each roller's bearings are protected by a bullet proof seal design. The com- pany's idlers are also characterized by lightning fast deliveries, world class distributors and flexible product designs. Popular specifically to coal applications is the company's sticky-shedding Urathon® Return Rolls. Manufactured with a spe- cially formulated urethane, these self-cleaning return rollers elim- inate material buildup and subsequent belt tracking challenges. Pulleys A pulley was just a pulley until Superior debuted its Chevron® Wing Pulley almost five years ago. The patented v-shaped design deflects material, preventing it from building up around the pul- ley. Customers and the company also report less noise generated by the Chevron wing pulley, plus reduced vibration, which is extending the life of both the pulley's bearings and the conveyor's skirt rubber. Today, Superior manufactures a complete line of pulleys, including CEMA, mine and super duty designs, plus a brand of engineered class models known as Core Systems™ Design. Accessories Besides idlers and pulleys, Superior constantly develops its line of conveyor component accessories. With solutions like belt cleaners, sealing systems, impact beds, take-ups, guards, scales and sen- sors, the company is able to outfit its customers with a full range of problem-solving, maintenance-friendly solutions.
