COMPANY PROFILE-PAID ADVERTISEMENT ITT Corporation Goulds Pumps recently introduced the XHD Heavy Duty Lined Slurry Pump. ITT Corporation is a diversified leading manu- facturer of highly engineered critical compo- nents and customized technology solutions for industrial customers. ITT makes world- leading pumps and valves for mining applica- tions sold under the ITT Goulds Pumps and Fabri-Valve brands. Next-generation Slurry Pump ITT Goulds Pumps' XHD Extra Heavy Duty Lined Slurry Pump sets a new standard for reliability in slurry pumping while lowering total cost of ownership. The slurry pump took home top honors earlier this year at the Pump Industry Awards, presented by the British Pump Manufacturers' Association. Chosen from among eight finalists, the XHD was called the most innovative pump, pump- ing system or other pump related product introduced onto the market within the last 12 months. The XHD pump is suited specifically for use in both Class III (heavy) and Class IV (very heavy) slurries as defined by the Hydraulic Institute. The new pump is designed to be maintained even while running, and to require less downtime for service proce- dures—with parts that are more accessible and adjustable than in other slurry pumps. The XHD pump's short bearing housing is easily adaptable to nearly any existing foun- dation, so operators can retrofit existing pumps without investing in costly refitting of pipes, electrical lines and concrete base structures. The new pump is available in a range of sizes and configurations tailored to operator needs. Target applications include primary metals, mineral processing, non- www.e-mj.com metallic mining, power utilities, and sand and aggregates. Added features expected in 2012 include expellers and rubber liners, with additional pump sizes and higher pres- sure capabilities. Industry-leading Slurry Valves ITT also added the Fabri-Valve 33 PTA and 33 PTD push-through slurry valves to its port- folio of mining products in 2011. Specifically designed to withstand harsh slurry applica- tions, the 33 PTA incorporates proprietary sleeve technology and a wide body design that together maximize valve life. The new valve's elastomeric seats have been engi- neered to provide the highest degree of abra- sion resistance and chemical compatibility. The 33 PTA is available in sizes ranging from 3" through 24" diameters (DN80–DN600). The Fabri-Valve 33 PTD valve is designed with proprietary technology to meet the harsh demands of light to medium slurry applica- tions. It has outperformed other slurry valves used in the industry in both field trials and the laboratory, and is most suitable for cop- per, gold, silver, or phosphate. The 33 PTD incorporates a proprietary UHMW gate sup- port liner, which provides smooth gate opera- tion and alignment while reducing body wear. The 33 PTD is available in sizes ranging from 3" through 24" diameters (DN80 – DN600). These recently introduced valves com- plement the popular Fabri-Valve C/F 33/133 ported slide gate valve, which offers unsurpassed performance in scaling appli- cations. The C/F 33 version is an unbonnet- ed discharging valve, while the C/F 133 ver- sion is bonneted to provide redirected dis- charge. The C/F 133 is ITT's safest and most reliable slurry valve, providing the most protection in high temperature and corrosive media applications. Higher Reliability, Lower Downtime The products described above are part of the ITT Industrial Process business, which serves customers in a wide range of industrial markets including mining, chemical processing, pulp and paper, power generation, general industry, and oil and gas. Industrial Process solutions are provided under global brands including Goulds Pumps, Fabri-Valve®, Pure-Flo®, C'treat, PumpSmart, ProSmart and PRO Services. ITT PRO Services help industrial cus- tomers to manage their processes more effi- ciently with projects such as pump assess- ments, asset management, engineered upgrades, maintenance outsourcing and field repairs. These services help customers to lower total cost of ownership, minimize down- time and increase equipment reliability. ITT offers industrial customers a unique global network of service and support, with parts stocked in more than 75 locations worldwide, delivered with 98% on-time performance and 99.9% quality rating.
