92 E&MJ; • SEPTEMBER 2017 www.e-mj.com EQUIPMENT GALLERY the-deck tool boxes. A choice of modular fi tting, weatherproof tool boxes and sizes are designed to facilitate organization. A selection of fi ve different 6000 Series Flatbed sizes for both single and dual rear wheel trucks is offered. www.beslerindustries.com Online Attachment Chain Confi gurator is Launched U.S. Tsubaki Power Transmission launched its web-based Attachment Chain Confi gu- rator. The tool, like its predecessor, en- ables users to confi gure the attachment chain needed, download CAD fi les and re- quest a quote for that specifi c chain. The company reported the new confi gu- rator offers a more user-friendly experience. It includes drag-and-drop capability, drop- downs with a large variety of chain options, and a dynamic visual confi guration. It offers an extensive list of electronic formats to download the fi nalized confi guration. These new features will not only enhance the over- all user experience but will also allow users to more easily request quotes for a specifi c confi guration, the company reported. www.ustsubaki.com Cast Iron, TEFC Motors for Severe Duty Nidec Motor Corp. launched the World Motor line of cast iron horizontal, totally enclosed fan-cooled (TEFC) motors. Com- prised of the Hostile Duty, Corro-Duty, and 841 PLUS product lines, World Motor products are built to withstand a variety of severe-duty applications. The motors offer global functionality that meet or ex- ceed National Electrical Manufacturers Association (NEMA) or International Elec- trotechnical Commission (IEC) standards, the company reported. Stock motors come in 1-350 hp, with two-, four-, six-pole designs; at 200, 230/460, 460 and 575 volts; NEMA 140 to 449 frames, and IEC 90 to 280 frames. Custom motors come in 1 hp-350 hp, with two-, four-, six-, eight-pole designs; special voltage; NEMA and IEC frame motors; with F1, F2, or F3/0 mounting capabilities. Stock motors are rated Class B rise, at 1.0 service factor and Class F rise at 1.15 service factor, with full Class F or better-insulating materials. www.usmotors.com Turbine Generator Converts Pipeline Flow to Watts ClearPower North America launched the M Series industrial turbine generator (ITG) for the mining industry. The ITG-M Series allows mining companies to utilize their existing gravity-fed pipelines or out- falls to convert water and selective water slurry fl ows into a source of sustainable, renewable, low-cost electricity. The ITG-M Series can produce more than 30 megawatts (MW) of off-grid power, the company reported. It is capable of pro- ducing up to 3 MW of electricity per 150 ft of head. The series features a direct-drive, synchronous, permanent magnetized gen- erator. The rim design of the generator removes the need for a central shaft and couplings, resulting in a simplifi ed, com- pact and effi cient generating system that improves effi ciency, limits noise and pre- vents vibration, the company reported. www.clearpowerna.com Light Tower Series Runs 155 Hours Allmand Bros. Inc. released the Night-Lite V Series light towers. The ROI-driven, verti- cal mast design is built specifi cally to pro- vide effi ciency, durability and performance, the company reported. The rental-grade Night-Lite V Series boasts a longer run time and brighter output than competitive units in its class, and is strong enough for repeat- ed deployments, Allmand Bros. reported. The 1,250-watt metal halide SHO-HD light system provides a high light output — 135,500 lumens per lamp for a total of 542,000 lumens — and as long as 75 hours of run time. Optional LED fi xtures run as long as 155 hours before refueling and produce 38,500 lumens per lamp for a total output of 154,000 lumens. The V Se- ries also incorporates Allmand's Sequenced Lighting System. The system automatically turns on the lights after the engine is start- ed and delays engine shutdown until after the lights are off, preventing the generator from shutting down while under load. www.allmand.com Flow Switch Detects Dry Conditions Fluid Components International (FCI) intro- duced the FlexSwitch FLT93 Flow Switch, which detects dry-running conditions. The dual-alarm FLT93 Flow Switch reliably monitors the fl ow and temperature of liq- uids, gases, slurries and more. It is ideal for pump wet/dry detection, where sudden, unexpected reductions in media fl ow rates may leave pumps vulnerable to over-heat- ing conditions, the company reported. The fl ow switch, with no moving parts, will detect a low-fl ow situation anywhere be- tween 0.01 and 3 ft per second (0.003 to 0.9 meters per second). This low fl ow alarm can be regarded as a pre-warning signal for the control system or operator. The system or operator can then decide to keep the pump running or to shut it down. Alarm 2 is an emergency signal to shut down the pump im- mediately because the bearings now see gas instead of a liquid as a heat transfer media. The FLT93 Switch can be specifi ed in either insertion or inline styles for pipe or tube installation. The switch is hydrostat- ically proof pressure tested to 3500 psig [240 bar (g)] at 70°F (21°C). www.fl uidcomponents.com Plate Turns Side Dump Bucket to General Purpose Rockland Manufacturing Co. unveiled its patent-pending removable dump plate, which allows operators to quickly trans-
