Dualmicrophone technology reduces ambient noise pick-up, while a high-performance balanced armature driver delivers superior stereo sound. Water resistant, the product is FCC and Bluetooth SIG certified. www.honeywellsafety.com Gear Lube Approved for Process Equipment Bel-Ray announced its Clear Gear Lubricant, in grades medium and heavy, has received OEM approval from mine process equipment suppliers Outotec and Metso. This endorsement, according to the company, qualifies the products for use as ring gear and pinion lubricants in those companies' minerals and metals processing products. Clear Gear Lubricant is a Very High Viscosity full synthetic fluid gear lubricant designed for use in open gear systems, particularly in rotating equipment such as grinding mills, cement kilns, driers, agglomerators and pelletizers. Critical capabilities of this lubricant, according to BelRay, are prevention of wear, halting of existing wear trends and reduction/elimination of vibration. Additional benefits include reduction of gear tooth surface temperatures by up to 20% and up to 35% less lubricant consumption. www.belray.com Flow Diverter Handles Abrasive Materials from one source to either two or three destinations, and is claimed to be an ideal solution for applications that require a positive seal from dust and fine powders. The TLD diverter is engineered to channel the flow of material away from the leading edge of the flapper vane. This feature is critical to maintain seal integrity and inhibit material leakage across the closed legs of the valve. Competitive flapper diverters have a tendency to leak past the vane shaft and trap material underneath, the TLD includes a shaft seal to eliminate this problem. To extend the life of the diverter, the TLD has abrasion-resistant liners that can be replaced when needed. The TLD also comes standard with two removable access panels for inspection, cleaning and maintenance. Adapting the valve to a system is made easy with position indication switches and flanges. The valve also offers a wide variety of modifications to accommodate a range of temperatures, corrosive, humid and explosive environments. Many material construction options are available. www.vortexvalves.com Weigh Module for Tanks, Vessels, Silos Mettler Toledo says weighing large tanks, vessels and silos presents safety challenges, and weigh modules can be difficult to install. In response, the company has introduced a new 100-ton PinMount weigh module that offers an opportunity to easily and safely convert such structures into high-capacity scales, even in harsh environments and hazardous areas. The models in the PinMount weigh module family weigh from 7.5 to 100 tons, are designed to be easy to integrate onto existing structures, and provide important safety features. Because it can be difficult to obtain accurate readings on tanks due to lateral move- ment and thermal expansion, the PinMount line's design incorporates self-aligning rocker-style load cells, ensuring accuracy in an array of industrial applications. In addition, PinMount's dual anti-lift devices and vertical downstops prevent damage due to environmental forces and component failure. www.mt.com/pinmount Compact, Maneuverable Rough-terrain Crane Badger Equipment's CD4415 rough terrain crane is compact at just over 11 ft tall, but offers a number of features including fourwheel drive/steering for maneuvering in tight spaces, multiple boom configurations, an ergonomically engineered twodoor cab with joystick controls and integrated safety features such as steps and handrails. In standard configuration, the crane offers a three-section hydraulic actuated boom reaching from 24 to 62.5 ft (7.3 to 19 m) and boom elevation angle range of 0°–70°. An optional configuration provides a one-section, 20 ft (6 m) jib giving maximum tip height of 85.5 ft (20 m). www.badgerequipment.com Vortex Valves' Titan Series TLD Diverter is designed for use in gravity flow applications where abrasive material is diverted www.e-mj.com JANUARY 2013 • E&MJ; 93
