84 E&MJ • OCTOBER 2018 EQUIPMENT GALLERY Rig Offers Top Operator Experience PAUS reported its Scaler 853 S8 of- fers a spacious cab, comfortable driv- er's seat, and intuitive cockpit layout, which, combined, make it optimal for fatigue-free operation in narrow-vein drifts. The rig features a powerful NPK hammer, continuous tool lubrication, a ROPS/FOPS-certifi ed operator-protect- ing roof, and a robust protective grill for optimal protection when scaling heights of up to 10 m, the company reported. The combination of articulated steering and swivelling boom ensures unmatched maneuverability, PAUS reported. Zero-Waste Solution EESTech announced its Zero-Waste Reclamation and Remediation tech- nology and service solution, which, it reported, transforms mine site and pro- cess waste into commercially useable and saleable products. In doing so, the cause of water polluting leachates is eliminated while any residual materials of value are recovered, the company re- ported. The resulting post-process tail- ings are inert and environmentally stable byproducts suitable for use in a variety of downstream applications. A single EESTech process line can remediate up to 1 million tons of mine site or process waste per year, the company reported. Plastics for Liners, Noise Abatement Cut To Size Plastics Pty. Ltd. reported its Wearex UHMWPE plastics and high-den- sity polyethylene plastics are formulated for use as protective liners that promote fl ow while prohibiting clogging. Both are fi nding applications in static and mobile plants, including as liners in trucks, bins and chutes where wear and energy con- sumption are issues, and where customers wish to eliminate OH&S hazards involved in clearing dense and heavy potential blockages, the company reported. Both reportedly have excellent impact strength and can be easily formed and machined to tray and bin liner applications using con- ventional equipment. UHMWPE will not cake or stick to metal and offers excellent noise abatement in material handling ap- plications, the company reported.
