MAY 2019 • E&MJ 75 EQUIPMENT GALLERY The system is an OEM version of the MineWare Argus monitoring sys- tem. It integrates seam- lessly with Komatsu's Komtrax operating sys- tem and forms part of the onboard display, the companies reported. It delivers actionable pro- duction information in real time from the ma- chine to the operator and the offi ce. The system provides greater production visibility and performance benchmarking data to monitor, take action and understand how to improve the machine's productivity, the com- panies reported. Argus PLM will be available on all new Komatsu PC7000-11 models. Standard Incline Screens Terex Minerals Processing Sys- tems released a series of Simplic- ity Standard In- cline (SI) screens designed for heavy-duty, me- dium and fi ne screening ap- plications. The company said the screens as versa- tile, reliable and feature large spacing between decks, allowing for quick media changes. They are built with a robust drive mechanism and over- sized bearings to handle large tonnages, Terex reported. As either wet or dry screens, they have adjustable stroke and speed com- binations and are available in two- or three-deck confi gurations. They are fi tted with woven wire media, but can be converted into modular media with polyurethane, rubber media or steel plate without cutting or welding. With an Auto-Lubrication system, the screens have the op- tion of operating with grease or oil lubrication, Terex reported. Side plates are made of hot-rolled semi-killed/killed steel and the decks, along with reinforcement plates, are Huck-bolted to the side plates. The tubular deck frames are made of hollow sections and fabricated structures. Feed tray and discharge lips are provided with abrasion-resis- tant liners. The screen box is made of weld-free construction to reduce stress concentration. The screen mechanism consists of a steel eccentric shaft mounted in vibration screen-duty self-aligning spherical roller bearings. The stroke can be adjusted by changing the counterweights mounted on the fl ywheels. The screens can be converted to a rinsing screen by add- ing the rinser kit. Optionally, the screens are also available with dust-encapsulation arrangement. Lighter Dumper Bodies Austin Engineering announced the UL- TIMA dump truck body, which features a V-fl oor that chan- nels the load to the center of the tray. With its lower center of gravity, the fl oor improves machine stability and safety, reduces overall tray wear, and reduces dump cycle times. Based on WESTECH, JEC and JEC-LD series, the tray is lighter and stronger than current OEM bodies, offering a 10% to 15% weight saving without sacrifi cing payload, the company reported. The body also features tapered sides and large radius transitions, which help reduce material carryback. A low-profi le rear fl oor shape combined with a reduced height bolster provide additional ground clearance when dumping, the company reported. Application-specifi c Truck Bodies Metso showcased the Metso Truck Body, a lightweight, rub- ber-lined tray designed for off-highway trucks.
