The cable contains MIL [military grade] type of fiber, which is dou- ble-jacketed and also covered with a bronze braid plus another on top. This top jacket may be a flame-retardant or a low-smoke, zero halogen jacket. This type of cable is designed to provide extra protection where heavy objects may be dropped on cables, or there is danger of the cable becoming sliced or nicked by sharp surfaces. In addition to having fiber optic cable with appropriate protection, mine operators need to have cable connectors and adapters that can withstand temperature extremes and many types of stresses, enabling sys- tems to run and data to flow regardless of the harshness of the environment. Military-grade connectors and adap- ters may be required for some applica- tions. These products feature non-optical disconnect, nickel-plated brass or stain- less steel configurations that can with- stand extreme temperature change, shock, vibration and corrosion. According to McDonald, "Selecting the right fiber cable and connectors often requires a consultative process between customer and supplier. In some cases, that may require providing the customer with a prototype or sample for testing processes. But whatever the solution, it is vital to ensure that it is end-to-end." Cabinets Contribute to Quick Project Startup Successfully opening a gold mine any- where in the world is no small feat. Getting an operation up and running ahead of schedule and under budget in Namibia is all the more impressive, B2Gold Corp. did that with its Otjikoto mine—licensed in 2012 with ground broken in April 2013, Otjikoto started initial production in December 2014, making it one of the fastest-moving projects in the history of Namibia's mining industry. Norgren, a global supplier of motion control systems now doing business as IMI Precision Engineering, played a role in this COMPANY PROFILE-PAID ADVERTISEMENT These stainless steel, weatherproof control cabinets installed at a B2Gold operation provide a 'plug-and- play' solution that allowed convenient and quick con- nection to existing equipment. At TRIO we are continuously investing in new product development and exceptional support personnel to meet our customers evolving needs. TRIO is the market leader for portable crushing and screening equip- ment solutions. Our portable plants pro- vide cost effective solutions which boost efficiency, maximize set-up flexibility and provide more convenient access to materi- al resources. TRIO's newly introduced high perform- ance WHC350 Portable Cone Crusher/ Screening Plant and our Primary Crushing Plant WJ3054, have similar features in that they are both capable of being ideal for crushing the toughest aggregates in quarry or gravel operations. Our WHC350 Portable Cone Crusher/ Screening plant consists of our bold "state of the art" T350 Cone Crusher which utilizes a pedestal main shaft configuration for high speed inter-particle comminution. Partnered with the TTH6203 is a high "G" triple shaft horizontal screen which provides high perform- ance screening even with diffi- cult materials. This self-con- tained closed circuit plant can be a standalone processing plant for secondary or tertiary crushing capable of making 3 different sized products. TRIO's high performance Portable Jaw Crushing Plant WJ3054 is capable of being a standalone primary or incorpo- rated into a multi-staged pro- cessing plant. This plant is ideal for crushing the toughest aggregates and capable of han- dling the large slabby feed often found in asphalt and concrete recy- cling. This primary crushing plant consists of our innovative CT3054 Jaw Crusher that utilizes a computer optimized design insur- ing a more aggressive bite at the jaw crush- er opening. The hydraulically adjusted dual wedge system allows simple, safe adjust- ments to the crusher discharge setting. These features combined, create one of the most productive primary crushers in the industry. Our TF5220 Vibrating Grizzly Feeder incorporates a thick feeder pan, with honey comb style reinforcement capa- ble of absorbing tremendous shock loads from loading equipment. The grizzly sec- tion removes undersized material before the jaw crusher and utilizes wear resistant materials with tapered openings in both dimensions to prevent clogging and pack- ing which is ideal for recycling and aggre- gate industry. Innovative, high performance and reli- able products are just a part of what makes TRIO a valued partner. See what TRIO can do for you. Innovative Customer Driven Solutions
