As a result, problems with uneven seat wear or excess operating torque, common with other styles of slurry knife gate valves, are avoided. The Knife Gate Valve's unique design also prevents process from spraying out of the valve, reducing safety and environmental concerns. Slurry Knife Gate Valves are often used for on/off applications in which the valves are not frequently cycled.
