SEPTEMBER 2017 • E&MJ; 91 www.e-mj.com EQUIPMENT GALLERY Okada America Inc. released the Pedestal Rock Breaker Boom System. It is designed specifi cally for stationary primary crush- ing plants as well as mobile and portable plants. The rock breaker system works in unison with impact, jaw and gyratory crush- ers, assisting these crushers to achieve their rated capacities, the company reported. Upon installation, Okada selects the breaker and boom combination best-suited for each application. Each Okada position- ing boom, hydraulic breaker, power unit and controls are assembled, motion-tested and inspected prior to shipment, the company reported. Okada offers installation supervi- sion, fi rst-use startup and commissioning, operator and maintenance training. The system is offered in 24 pedestal breaker boom models with a horizontal reach of 10 ft to 40 ft. Choose from 10 box-housed ORV Series hydraulic breakers with impact energy ranging from 375 to 7,500 foot-pounds; and select from four electric/hydraulic power units ranging in size from 20 horsepower (hp) to 125 hp. www.okadaamerica.com Wet Filter Press Features Dual Capabilities Micronics Engineered Filtration Group de- buted the MicroPress. The 150-millimeter (mm) fi lter press is available both as a rent- al unit for pilot testing and for purchase as a small, bench-scale fi ltration unit. The MicroPress is designed for a variety of markets and particularly for low-solids polishing applications. The MicroPress has a single chamber with a head plate and tail plate, and can com- fortably allow testing for cake thicknesses ranging from 15 mm to 60 mm. It comes equipped with both Membrane Squeeze and Cake Blow capabilities. The pre- squeeze cake volume with the MicroPress ranges from 122-486 milliliters. The MicroPress comes complete with a feed pump and a high-pressure manual air pump for the membrane squeeze. Us- ers provide the compressed air to run the pump. Several fi lter cloth styles appropri- ate to the application are also included. www.micronicsinc.com Detector Works in Wet Conductive Materials ThermoFisher Scientifi c unveiled the Ramsey Oretronic IV tramp metal de- tector, which is designed to work with belt conveyors that move minerals, iron pellets, coal, aggregates and other bulk materials. It can detect all types of me- tallic scrap, including bucket teeth, man- ganese steel mantles, bore crowns, bar scrap, chains and tools. The increased sensitivity in the Oretronic IV detector allows it to identify tramp metal buried in wet conductive materials quickly and accurately, the company reported. The Oretronic IV tramp metal detector, which is available in two versions with two levels of sensitivity, includes a micropro- cessor-based control unit, a receiver coil, a transmitter coil and a support frame. Additional features include variable fre- quency, a fi berglass support structure, advanced electronics and display, and easy installation, the company reported. www.thermofi sher.com Tough Truck Beds Can Be Customized Besler Industries announced the 6000 and 8000 Series Flatbeds. They are de- signed with utility features, and are made with 11-gauge deck plate, 4-in. channel stringers and 3/16-in. by 3-in. channel cross members. Standard equipment includes tie- down rails with stake pockets, LED light- ing, a bolt-in fi fth wheel assembly with 30,000-pound ball, and a bolt-in bumper with receiver hitch.
