REGIONAL NEWS - EXPLORATION ROUNDUP 22 E&MJ; • MAY 2018 www.e-mj.com Major Exploration Under Way at ATAC's Rackla Property in Yukon ATAC Resources has announced plans for three 2018 exploration projects on its 1,700-km 2 Rackla gold property in east-central Yukon, Canada. Included are the Orion project, where Barrick Gold is working on an earn-in option agreement, and the Osiris and Rau projects, which are wholly owned and operated by ATAC. Barrick's $6 million 2018 diamond drill program at the Orion project will consist of approximately 10,000 meters (m). The presence of robust, Carlin-type alteration identified in 2017 diamond drill holes, well away from any surface geochemical anomalies, demonstrated that favorable environments for the development of gold mineralization at Orion are more extensive than previously understood. The 2017 work is being evaluated by the joint Barrick-ATAC exploration team to prioritize targets for drilling in 2018, which will mainly be focused along the 6-km-long Anubis Fault corridor. Prior to the Barrick earn-in agreement, ATAC completed about 3,000 m of dia- mond drilling within the Anubis corridor, with highlights that included 8.51 m of 19.85 grams per mt (g/mt) gold from the Anubis zone and 61.29 m of 2.75 g/mt of gold from the Orion zone. Nine other prospecting discoveries within the Anubis cluster have received only cursory fol- low-up since their discovery in 2013. At the Osiris project, diamond drilling in 2017 resulted in the discovery and ex- pansion of high-grade gold mineralization at the Conrad, Sunrise, and Osiris zones. The newly identified mineralization will be followed up through systematic step- out drilling in 2018. At the Conrad zone, high-grade inter- cepts in 2017 included 12.50 m of 20.78 g/mt of gold and 25.91 m of 5.44 g/mt of gold. The zone remains open in all direc- tions. Drilling in 2018 will focus on system- atically stepping out from known gold min- eralization both at depth and along strike. At the Rau project, prospecting in 2017 advanced and prioritized the many known gold and base metal targets along trend from the advanced-stage Tiger oxide gold deposit, which has been the subject of a preliminary economic assessment. Exploration along trend from the Tiger de- posit in 2018 will include advancement of the Condor, Panther and Spotlight targets. Work will include hand pitting, prospecting and geological mapping. First-pass geochemical soil sampling will be conducted over a large area around the Spotlight target not previously sampled. In March, ATAC received a joint de- cision document from the Yukon gov- ernment and the Na-Cho Nyak Dun First Nation stating that a proposed 65-km, private, all-season tote road to the Tiger gold deposit will be allowed to proceed. ATAC President and CEO Graham Downs commented, "We are excited to get started
