Bifocal safety eyewear, according to the vendor, prevents workers from switching between regular safety glasses and reading glasses, a dangerous maneuver that can result in errors and eye injuries. Available in five diopter strengths from 1.0 to 3.0, Conqueror MAG helps add clarity to details, thus reducing eyestrain and improving wear compliance. At the same time, Conqueror MAG shields workers from daily impact hazards with a durable, one-piece polycarbonate wraparound lens that meets and exceeds ANSI Z87.1+. To ensure allday wearability, Conqueror MAG also includes such comfort features as a soft rubber nosepiece and ergonomic contoured temple tips. www.gatewaysafety.com Campus software that records and reports the results of all simulation sessions so instructors and users can track trainee progress. Hundreds of benchmarks based on Caterpillar expert operators are included in the system, with the operator's performance measured against these benchmarks and outcomes recorded to a database. www.simformotion.com Nanoceramics Improves Grease Performance Grader Simulator Provides Authentic Training Experience Simformotion, a developer of heavyequipment simulator training solutions, recently released its new Cat Simulators M-Series motor grader system. The new motor grader simulation trainer is set in a construction environment where operators can learn the same machine applications found on actual worksites. Training experience is delivered through the use of authentic controls combined with simulated applications. The M-Series motor grader simulator teaches controls familiarization, how to perform a machine walkaround, straight frame operation, articulated turning, crab steering, rough and finish grading, v-ditching, ripping, scarifying and also includes a special open training mode. Exclusive to Cat Simulators is SimU 92 E&MJ; • DECEMBER 2012 Dayton Progress's new DayLube high-performance grease uses nanoceramic particles that act as sub-microscopic ball bearings to provide continuous lubrication to steel surfaces found on heavy equipment such as loaders, dozers, haul trucks, excavators, skidders, crushers and more. With a much lower coefficient of friction at all temperatures than traditional PTFE greases, chemically inert DayLube is also environmentally friendly. It maintains its viscosity across the full temperature range and does not soften or run out; according to the vendor, after 100,000 production strokes it shows no evidence of breaking down. DayLube operates in temperature ranges from -40°F to 800°F, and the nanoceramic particles are claimed to remain intact to 2,500°F. It is available in 16-oz (450-g) tubes or jars, and 1- or 5-gallon (19-l) containers. www.daytonprogress.com Free Apps for Shaft Alignment Calculations Fixturlaser, a manufacturer of laserbased shaft alignment systems, has developed three free mobile device apps www.e-mj.com
