Prestone's Command DEF is a colorless, odorless, non-toxic, and non-flammable liquid solution consisting of 67.5% demineralized water and 32.5% high-quality auto- motive-grade urea. It meets all API and ISO 2224-1 manufacturing specifications. DEF will corrode certain metals, such as aluminum, copper and brass, so it must be used and stored with dispensing equipment and tanks that are made of stainless steel or high-density polypropylene. Prestone Command DEF is available in 1- and 2.5gallon (3.78- and 9.45-liter) containers, as well as 55-gallon (208.2 liter) drums and 330-gallon (1,249.19 liter) totes. Dust Collector Filters New HemiPleat eXtreme nano fiber filters from Camfil Air Pollution Control (APC) offer high filtration efficiencies and greater durability with better resistance for pulse-cleaning. These advantages can extend filter life and reduce operating and energy costs associated with industrial cartridge dust and fume collectors. The standard eXtreme media delivers MERV 15 efficiency—higher than the base media rating of MERV 10. Also available is a high efficiency (HE) MERV 16 eXtreme media that delivers tested efficiency of 99.99% on 0.5 micron and larger particles by weight. A proprietary trilayered technology is used to apply two layers of fine-pored nano fibers that act as a pre-filter to the base media, capturing most of the dust at the surface before it embeds in the filter. This technology increases the filter's cleaning ability and allows the base material to have larger pore sizes than standard cellulose media—reducing pressure drop while allowing the eXtreme fibers to provide a superior efficiency layer. Ventilation Ducting TruOval layflat blower ducting has been specially engineered to maximize air flow and increase headroom in underground environments. The design reduces air flow friction and maximizes head room without compromising air flow output. Engineered with suspension cables spaced intermittently through the ducting to maintain its oval shape, the suspension system eliminates the fabric divider typically found in oval layflat ducting. Its oval shape also allows for more headroom in confined spaces and accommodates higher profile underground equipment. 164 E&MJ • JUNE 2013
